Getting the Gist...

The article I have chosen for this exercise is written by Fearne Cotton and titled
' Fearne: Talking is vital to my mental health'..

After reading and re reading this article, the hand written list of words I have underlined and absorbed are:

Love, talk, feel, movement, problems, mistakes, insights, listen, reaction, concern, release, freedom, uncomfortable, life, hear, speak, 'interesting roads', vulnerable, terrifying, freeing, conversation, honest, chat, 'heartfelt words', human, 'beautiful souls', peace, happy, true, connection, 'deep rooted worry', speak, open, calm.

lot of words actually, and reading it over again all of these words stuck with me. For my first read I highlighted the words in purple. The second read, green. I'm unsure if I selected too many, however all seemed significant.

Deep rooted worry, stay with my most powerfully

I'm going to create an image of deep rooted worry.

I want to include, that overwhelming emotion pouring down on the outside, so consumed within that is spills over to all things.

Rain. Pain. Anxiety. Everywhere you turn that worry is there.

A woman stood in the rain, pouring and spilling over her umbrella creating a puddle below. I include the words 'If the weather in your life changes, seek shelter'. This came to mind as I was sketching.

My second image is the same woman stood in her puddle of rain, her worry. However opposite and facing towards her is someone in the same situation, looking down into her worry. That opportunity to confront the cause and talk.

Thinking back to 'deep rooted worry', I decide to focus on the woman being along, feeling isolated and overwhelmed. Deep in her puddle of rain.
